Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Pediatric CVOR RN for a travel assignment at a busy pediatric cardiovascular surgery unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care pediatrics and specialized cardiovascular procedures to support patient care from pre- to post-operation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the operating room environment and assist surgeons during pediatric CVOR procedures.
• Monitor vital signs continuously and respond promptly to patient changes.
• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems and adhere to unit policies.
• Support patient and family education throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 1-year experience in acute care hospital settings.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least 2 years of pediatric CVOR and cardiac surgery experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Comfortable managing pediatric patients with complex surgical needs.
