Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing the Outbound Logistics operations related to the movement of vehicles from manufacturers, to the accessory center to and through the Outbound transport. Manage the Outbound Logistics team, coordinate with internal and external partners, third parties and ensure compliance with company policy and regulations. Develop and secure outbound processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Lead, train, and mentor a team of transportation coordinators and drivers. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to staff. Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the team. Develop and manage the Outbound Logistics budget, ensuring adherence to financial goals. Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce outbound expenses. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding vehicle transportation. Implement safety protocols and training programs for all outbound logistics personnel. Conduct regular audits of outbound logistics processes. Update, correct and report accordingly. Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including internal departments and external partners. Resolve outbound logistics issues and conflicts as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Prepare and present regular reports on outbound logistics metrics and performance to management. Location & Travel Expectations This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina. Responsibilities require at least 4 days of in‑person meetings and events on a regular basis. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time. What you’ll bring Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive finished vehicle operations or transportation management, with a proven track record of leading teams. Knowledge of transportation regulations, best practices and safety protocol. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to collect, analyze and report operational status. Responsible for preparing and executing contingent plans to meet organizational targets. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail. Collaborative team‑player with strong interpersonal skills able to work with internal and external teams, third parties and vendors. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software. Knowledge of automotive regulations and compliance standards is a plus. Ability to communicate complex issues into common language for the organization. May require working non‑traditional business hours and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Pay Transparency This is a full‑time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent. Initial base salary range: $125,000.00 – $155,000.00. Internal leveling code: M8.
