Speech Language Pathologist

Facility Name: Canyon Vista Medical Center Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Type: PRN, Nonexempt Schedule: Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) Responsibilities Evaluates and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, supporting patient recovery and communication. Assesses speech and swallowing abilities. Develops and implements treatment plans based on patient needs. Provides education to patients and families regarding therapy goals. Documents evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately. Qualifications A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology that is accredited by Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements. Meets the education and experience requirements for the Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA. Minimum of six (6) months speech therapist/speech language pathologist experience working with an adult and geriatric population. Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered. Basic Life Support certification. Rehabilitation or Acute Care experience preferred.
