Full time (40 hours) onsite. They will need to travel about 15-20 times per year throughout Dade County, and they are required to be in the office 5 days per week, with some flexibility in the summer to work virtual. Appropriate dress code (to include no tennis shoes). No use of cell phone unless related to client. No personal use of equipment. All personal business must be handled outside of the office. We understand emergencies do arise but please be discreet.

The Benefit Consultant will work on-site at our client, Miami-Dade County Public Schools (CLIENT), at their main administration office in Miami, FL. This individual will be an integral part of the CLIENT benefits team and will work closely with them to serve the employees of CLIENT. The main responsibilities of this role are:

• Serve as a liaison between Home Office and CLIENT;
• Support in the administration & management of the Vision plan;
• Serve the employees of CLIENT by being an expert on the vision plan but also have working knowledge of all benefit offerings.

Some of the specific tasks related to this position include:

• Handle walk-in traffic with benefit questions;
• Handle benefit phone calls from employees regarding vision plan;
• Travel to (~500 locations) throughout district to educate employees on benefits programs and wellness;
• Attend Health Fairs & Open Enrollment Events;
• Work eligibility exception reports;
• Work reconciliation reports;
• Handle paperwork for COBRA applicants;
• Other duties as requested

This individual will interact with both the benefits team on-site and the team in Mason, OH as necessary and will be expected to deliver a very high level of personalized customer service. The role requires experience with the administration of vision care plans, a high-level of attention to detail, and an ability to serve in a customer facing role. The role requires access to reliable transportation as it will require some travel to the 500 locations within the district to educate employees on vision benefit programs and wellness initiatives.

Client requires last 7 years of employment verification and minimum education required for all roles is High diploma unless specified in the job description.
