ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

The position is for an experienced Registered Nurse in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with responsibilities that include caring for patients with varying acuity levels. The role will focus on stepdown ICU patients, which encompasses all aspects of regular ICU care, except for ventilated patients.

Schedule and Availability

Full-time availability for 3 shifts of 12 hours per week (07:00 - 19:00)
On-call commitment once every six weeks
Requirement to work 6 weekend shifts within each six-week period
Preferred start date is within the next 3 to 5 weeks

Qualifications

Previous experience in an ICU setting is required
Strong clinical skills to manage low acuity and high acuity patients
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Effective communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to stepdown ICU patients
Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and healthcare needs
