Role Description The Metal Fabricator role is a full-time, on-site position located in Calverton, NY. This role involves cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components for structural steel, stairs, railings, brackets, and ornamental iron projects according to drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, operating fabrication equipment and tools, performing grinding and finishing work, and verifying dimensions for accuracy and quality. The Metal Fabricator will also assist with material handling, equipment setup, and basic maintenance, while following safety protocols and collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines. Qualifications Strong metalworking skills, including cutting, fitting, and assembling structural and ornamental components. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in metal fabrication. Experience with grinding and surface finishing to meet quality and safety standards. Ability to safely perform forklift operation and material handling tasks. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements accurately. Familiarity with shop safety procedures and personal protective equipment. Prior experience in structural steel or metal fabrication is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in welding or fabrication are a plus.
