Maintenance Technician

At NXT Property Management , we're looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team at Riverfront Apartments in Salt Lake City .

What You'll Do

• Complete apartment turns to prepare homes for new residents
• Respond to and complete maintenance service requests efficiently and professionally
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, flooring, carpentry, and other property-related issues
• Perform preventative maintenance to identify and address potential problems before they become larger issues
• Maintain community grounds, amenities, common areas, and overall curb appeal
• Inspect apartments and building systems to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-maintained
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs and projects
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, service requests, inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Communicate professionally with residents and provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work environment
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable housing and building regulations
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
• Support the maintenance team and property leadership with special projects and other operational needs

What We're Looking For

• Previous apartment maintenance or property maintenance experience required
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, flooring, carpentry, and general building maintenance
• EPA Certification preferred but not required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete work efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Dependable, professional, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position
