Overview The Platforms Practice specializes in mission‑critical, intelligent platforms for the world’s most ambitious organizations. Software engineers are problem solvers who work across technology stacks to deliver outcomes that our customers expect. Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and defining user/customer requirements while focusing on developing user interfaces (UI) across mobile, web, and tablets. You will engage in coding, programming, and creating specifications to deliver development services that align with business requirements. Lead the effective management and delivery of processes, solutions, and projects. Engage regularly with external clients, actively participating in working sessions and leading workstreams from planning through execution and closure. Travel may be required as needed by external clients. Develop solutions to complex problems, recommending changes to policies and establishing procedures that impact the work area. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Provide direction and feedback to team members, ensuring successful task completion. Lead infrastructure workstreams, driving execution and delivery of cloud and container platform services. Collaborate with development, platform, and security teams to align infrastructure with application requirements. Implement automated solutions for builds and deployments (CI / CD) and automate provisioning using tools such as Terraform. Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. Apply SRE best practices, establish standards and policies for continuous improvements. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree (4‑year degree). Typically, no less than 4‑6 years of relevant experience. Proven record operating high‑availability services on Azure (4+ years). Expert understanding of core Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Monitor, and Azure Managed Prometheus. Experience designing, deploying, and managing container orchestration platforms using Kubernetes. Experience implementing SRE standards for resiliency and scalability of microservice architectures in Kubernetes. Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform. Experience implementing SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets as part of development/delivery practices. Experience monitoring container‑based microservices and cloud platform services. Proficiency with CI/CD tools – preferably GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of agile methodology and ability to work by its principles. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Self‑starter and quick problem‑solving skills. Desired (Optional) Experience Passion for delivering commercial software products and platforms to market. Deep understanding and interest in cloud and distributed systems architectures. Comfortable with ambiguity with a drive for clarity. Experience leading and growing technical talent, especially for software engineering managers. Experience in leading teams and managing change effectively. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Proven track record of building and managing client relationships. Benefits We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The base salary range for this role varies by location: US $142,600 to $261,500; for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) $171,200 to $297,200. Total rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension, 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our flexible vacation policy allows you to decide how much vacation time you need based on your personal circumstances.
