Job Description

Pediatrician – Bellefontaine, Ohio Availability

• Position Type: Hospital-employed, Full-time
• Schedule: Four-day work week
• Call: 1:4 coverage, must be within 20 minutes of hospital

Licensure & Certifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible – Pediatrics (new graduates accepted if truly BE)
• PALS and NRP required (hospital covers costs)
• Must maintain active certification (no lapsed Board Certification)
• Visa candidates not accepted
• Locum candidates not accepted

Clinical Overview

• Setting: Community hospital, outpatient and inpatient care
• Nursery Level: Level I
• Annual Births: ~400
• Responsibilities:
  • Outpatient clinic care
  • Rounding on newborns
  • Attend C-sections
  • Take call for hospital and practice
• Practice Team: 4 physicians, 2 full-time CNPs, 2 part-time CNPs, 1 behavioral health CNP, lactation consultant
• Hospital Coverage: Single hospital; transports newborns to tertiary centers as needed
