Retail Flex Banker/Universal Banker

Branch Flex Banker Washington Trust is seeking a Branch Flex Banker to support our Rhode Island East Bay and Northern branches. This role engages with customers, processes transactions, and promotes our banking products. What Your Responsibilities Will Be Process customer transactions accurately while actively engaging with the customer. Understand and apply bank policies and procedures. Provide a superior banking experience through a relationship‑building approach. Proactively recommend the best products and services to fit the customer’s needs. Contribute to the achievement of sales objectives. Accurately and efficiently manage customer transactions. Navigate various bank systems and equipment, such as ATMs, cash counting machines, and cash recyclers. Qualifications That Make You a Good Fit Enthusiasm for working with customers. Initiative and drive to succeed. Proven experience in a customer service environment; prior banking or financial services experience is a plus. Understanding of personal finance, including bank products and services. Experience handling cash and processing transactions. Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate banking computer systems. Experience dealing with confidential customer information. Strong interpersonal and listening skills. Ability to build trust and maintain customer relationships. Flexibility to adapt to ongoing business changes. Monday‑Thursday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 7:45 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:15 PM (Saturday availability required; frequency depends on location) Compensation The base salary for this role ranges from $21.50 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. This base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package that may include an incentive plan.
