Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate fetal monitoring or above, STABLE for nursery Must-Have Skills/Experience: Prefer nurse with at least one year experience in Labor and Delivery and Nursery care Description: Position will require floating to Nursery and Postpartum. Facility is a 175-bed acute care hospital with an integrated network of care offering various services to the community. Unit profile includes a Labor and Delivery unit with low volume, typically less than 15 deliveries per month. Number of Beds in Labor and Delivery: 3, OB: 9, Nursery: 14, Intermediate Nursery: 3. Patient Ratio follows guidelines. Equipment includes general Labor and Delivery unit equipment. Electronic Health Record system is Meditech. Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the unit. The patient population consists of Level 3 OB cases. Common diagnosis and treatment include OB deliveries and Nursery care.
