Learn more at Description As a Go-to-Market Engineer at Pave, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and our customer-facing teams. You’ll work directly with Sales, Customer Success, Product, prospects, and clients to solve technical problems that accelerate sales, improve onboardings, and help clients get the most out of Pave. This role is high impact and on-the-ground, for someone who is excited to build but also wants to be close to customers. You’ll report to the Senior Product Manager within the Pave Labs technology organization. As Pave’s first Go-to-Market Engineer, you’ll have significant ownership over how the role operates and help define the function as we scale. You will be the representative from the product organization working on-the-ground to get feedback that will drive our business and product forward. The role involves travel and extended time on-site with a handful of assigned clients. You don’t need to understand investment management coming in, but we’re looking for someone motivated and excited to learn how our portfolio management technology, client configurations, and investment preferences work. Our team has decades of experience across investment management, sales, and technology and will help mentor and guide you through the onboarding process. Responsibilities Join prospect and client meetings to understand technical requirements, answer questions, and determine how Pave fits into their systems and workflows. Own the problem behind a customer request end to end: think beyond what is asked for to find what the customer actually needs. Build prototypes, integrations, and solutions in front of customers to demonstrate use cases, win business, and retain clients. Help drive long-term product strategy by identifying common themes in the field and bringing them back to leadership. Automate repetitive workflows across Sales, Customer Success, and client implementations. Build a strong understanding of Pave’s portfolio management technology, APIs, data, and trading infrastructure. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience building software in a customer-facing or business-facing environment, such as software engineering, solutions or forward-deployed engineering, technical product, site reliability, or an early-stage builder role. Enough engineering depth to independently build and ship working solutions, including prototypes, integrations, and automations. Experience working with APIs, integrations, and data, with a strong understanding of how systems fit together. Strong product judgment and an ability to translate customer problems into practical technical solutions. Action-oriented and comfortable working directly with customers to understand ambiguous requirements, troubleshoot problems, and build solutions. Highly effective with AI-assisted development tools and able to use them to build and iterate quickly. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript. Experience in fintech, wealth management, or financial services. Experience working with financial data, brokerages, trading platforms, or other financial systems. Experience building and deploying customer-facing integrations or technical implementations.
