Commercial Lines Account Manager

Position Overview Turbeville Insurance is seeking a full-time Commercial Lines Account Manager at the company’s Columbia, Lexington, Charleston, or Beaufort locations. The Account Manager provides prompt, accurate, and courteous service to customers, producers and company personnel. The position requires a positive attitude and provides a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing our commercial accounts. Essential Functions Service commercial lines accounts as assigned, aiding in rating and quoting as needed Binding New & Renewal Coverage – Processing Commercial Lines applications and collection of premiums per established agency procedures before binding any coverage Maintain client files in agency management system Maintain required licenses Respond to requests in a timely manner Issue cancellation notices as required Service commercial lines accounts to prevent gap and/or lapse in coverage, thus reducing E&O exposures On occasion, meet with clients to discuss and handle their insurance needs Prepare general correspondence as required for executive officers Keep producers fully informed of important activities on their accounts including being sensitive to potential problems and informing management Other duties as assigned Required Experience SC P&C Insurance License preferred SC Broker License Preferred Two Years’ experience in Commercial Lines via an insurance agency environment preferred Required Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: walk; sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, step stools, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear; able to push and pull doors. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and team lift in excess of 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
