Job Details Location: San Mateo, CA 94401 (GSM) Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour About the Company Golden State Dermatology is a physician‑led and owned dermatology group rapidly expanding across California, with over 37 locations. Responsibilities Warmly welcome patients and assist with check‑in and check‑out procedures. Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility. Handle phone inquiries. Maintain patient records. Manage the appointment schedule, including auditing for future appointments, confirming attendance, and collecting necessary information before the appointment (insurance details and intake questions). Contact patients on waiting lists or with future appointments to offer earlier slots, focusing on filling the soonest available appointments for providers with open slots. Provide product education to patients and staff, and sell skincare products available for purchase. Perform significant multitasking and task management to ensure all responsibilities are completed promptly. Accept additional job duties assigned by the Practice Manager based on the practice's needs. Qualifications Customer service skills or a patient‑centered mindset. Previous dermatology, healthcare, or aesthetics experience. Knowledgeable with insurance carriers (Medicare, commercial, HMO). Experience with EClinicalWorks, EMA, or other EMR software.
