Looking for 2-3 golf crew members to join our team in the area of San Juan Bautista to start ASAP!! Responsible for maintaining the health, appearance, and playability of a golf course.
Responsibilities:
- Turf Maintenance: Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs using walking or riding mowers.
- Course Set-Up: Change hole locations on greens, move tee markers, and empty trash cans or ball washers before golfers arrive.
- Bunker Maintenance: Rake sand bunkers, smooth out footprints, and edge bunker boundaries.
- Landscaping: Weed, trim around trees and cart paths, repair divots, and assist with tasks like sod laying and leaf removal.
- Equipment Upkeep: Clean, fuel, and maintain machinery. Report any equipment issues to the mechanic or supervisor.
- Irrigation Assistance: Help with hand watering, fixing leaks, or general irrigation system maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk long distances, and perform manual labor in diverse weather conditions.
- Schedule Flexibility: Early morning availability is common (often starting at 5:00 AM) to ensure the course is ready before the first tee times.
- Experience: Previous experience in golf course maintenance, turf grass management, or landscaping is highly valued.
- Licensing: A valid driver's license is typically required to drive utility vehicles and golf carts around the property.
