Dietary Aide

Lotus Village Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team at our skilled nursing facility in Sparta, NC!

As a Dietary Aide, you’ll help ensure our residents receive meals and snacks that are prepared and served safely, accurately, and with a focus on hospitality.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare dining areas, meals, trays, and beverages according to menus and residents’ dietary orders.

• Become familiar with menu items and provide friendly, helpful service to residents and guests.

• Serve meals and requested items while following dietary guidelines and facility procedures.

• Respond to residents’ dining needs while maintaining a welcoming and respectful environment.

• Prepare and deliver snacks and nourishments as directed.

• Gather food, beverages, and supplies needed for meal service.

• Maintain accurate records of residents’ dietary needs and preferences.

• Follow all local, state, and federal food safety and handling regulations.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene, and safety throughout the dietary department.

• Work collaboratively with the dietary and nursing teams to provide excellent service to our residents.

• High school diploma or GED preferred .

• Must be 18 years of age or older .

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred .

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Good organizational and time-management skills.

• Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent resident service.

• A positive and compassionate attitude toward working with seniors.
