Quality Control Inspector

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a Contract to hire with a client in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will ensure product quality and regulatory compliance by inspecting, testing, and certifying materials and finished parts in a metalworking environment.

Rate Range: $18/hour to $22/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Quality Control Inspector Job Responsibilities include:

• Inspect raw materials, inprocess components, and finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement equipment.
• Calibrate and certify company and employee gages to NIST standards while maintaining accurate inspection records.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, routings, and work orders to validate product conformity.
• Document nonconformances by preparing Material Rejection Reports and communicating findings to operators and management.
• Support quality improvement efforts by assisting with defect investigations, customer complaint analysis, and training of new inspectors.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; advanced technical training in quality, machining, or manufacturing preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector in a machine or metalworking environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, use precision measurement tools, and perform gage calibration to NIST standards.
• Experience documenting nonconformances, preparing material rejection reports, and supporting quality investigations in a fastpaced production setting.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
