Position Summary The Building Maintenance Technician I position, under limited supervision, performs work of routine difficulty maintenance and related work as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs routine maintenance on building interior and exterior. Routine maintenance tasks could include assembly, furniture/equipment/material moves, minor electrical, minor plumbing and general labor. Must possess the ability to safely use hand and power tools. Interacts and may require contacting vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance. Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due. Works in an organized and safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in building. Responsible for the completion and accuracy of documentation related to assigned tasks. May be assigned tasks outside the scope of this job description. Skills and Requirements Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the BMS Library, with specific competency of general as well as related field documents. Required skills in decision making, time management, customer/client focus and attention to detail. Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb all day. Frequently lifts and/or move items over 35 pounds. Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised. Reading, writing and general math skills. Ability to work effectively in a group (Team) environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to speak/read/write English. Must be willing to have flexible work hours. Must have a Highschool Diploma or G.E.D equivalent. Work Environment Office & Manufacturing Floor This position is not eligible for Remote Work Salary Range Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $23/hour to $29/hour Travel Requirements There are typically no travel requirements for this position (0%).
