Cath Lab Tech FT Days

Location & Compensation $10,000 Sign on Bonus and relocation assistance for Cath Lab Techs. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Lake Pointe, 6800 Scenic Drive, Rowlett, TX 75088. Full-Time Day Shift - Monday-Friday, 4 days/week 7am - 5:30pm with rotational Call every 4 weeks. Job Summary The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under general supervision, assists physicians during catheterization / electrophysiology lab procedures. Responsible for preparing the room and equipment, instructing patients, monitoring patient condition, providing routine and emergency care, and contributing to quality control initiatives. Essential Functions Helps physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, diagnostics, interventional, peripheral and coronary procedures. Follows radiation protection regulations for patients, self and staff; performs CPR and defibrillation as needed. Performs pre and post-procedure care and monitoring. Orients patients for procedures and addresses related questions. Monitors ECG, pressures, temperature and impedance during electrophysiology lab procedures; notifies physician of variances. Assists in running RF/Cryo ablation systems, 3D mapping and records procedural documentation. Manages and maintains images, formatting and processing for cardiac and peripheral cases. Collects registry and quality data on appropriate forms. Gathers catheterization data and prepares procedure reports. Prepares and maintains sterile fields for lab procedures. Orders and maintains inventory of procedure room supplies; ensures rooms are stocked and equipment is not expired. Coordinates and audits resources during yearly inventories. Performs routine calibration and maintenance; notifies team for fixes. Assists in orientation and training of new staff and students; performs additional duties as needed. Oversees quality control monitoring, such as NPSG auditing and performance improvement initiatives (daily, monthly, quarterly). Participates in governance, departmental and professional organizations and committees; may include LEAN, NOBLE, 5S projects, etc. Transports patients to and from procedural areas. Demonstrates customer service skills. Key Success Factors Education and/or experience: Associates degree in related field, completion of US military training program equivalent, or 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience. Availability for on-call response as required. Knowledge of complex invasive cardiac and vascular instrumentation and techniques. Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Qualifications Registry: Must hold an RCIS, ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)/TMB Radiography or imaging credential. Education: Technical or Associates degree in Radiology; new program graduates welcomed. Experience: 1 year in Cath Lab or 2 years in Cath Lab (experience may waive education). Cross‑training: Willing to cross‑train EP tech or RN for cardiac cases. Certifications & Licenses ACLS within 30 days of hire/transfer. BLS within 30 days of hire/transfer. Required credential: AT/ARRT-R, MRT, CCDS, CEPS, RCES, RCIS; meet at least one listed credential.
