Hackensack Meridian Health Team Health is seeking a dynamic Physician to join our Occupational Medicine team. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, you will do more than provide exceptional patient care—you will help define the clinical standards for our entire practice. Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n

\n
• Provide Expert Patient Care: Deliver evidence-based care for work-related injuries and illnesses, including examinations, treatment plans, and specialist referrals.
\n
• Drive Quality & Policy: Collaborate with leadership to develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols and quality assurance standards for all Team Health physicians and practitioners.
\n
• Serve as a Clinical Expert : Perform specialized exams (DOT, pre-placement), act as a Medical Review Officer (MRO), and conduct workplace assessments.
\n
• Lead & Collaborate: Work closely with case managers, therapists, and client employers to ensure integrated, cost-effective care and safe return-to-work plans.
\n
• Ensure Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of practice according to worker's compensation laws, OSHA, and federal/state regulations.
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n

\n
• MD or DO with a current, unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
\n
• Board Certification in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine is highly preferred.
\n
• At least one year of experience in an occupational medicine setting is preferred.
\n
• MRO and FMCSA certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 60 days of hire).
\n
• Deep knowledge of worker's compensation, OSHA regulations, and DOT requirements.
\n
• A collaborative physician committed to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
\n
• Active DEA, CDS, and BLS certifications.
\n
