Medical Laboratory Technician - (Med Lab Tech - MLT)

CLS/MLS/MT/MLT jobs in Norfolk, VA offer you the chance to work 3 days a week from 9:30 AM to clinic close, typically around 9:30-9:45 PM, including every other weekend. You will rotate between urgent care sites in Virginia Beach, Newport News, and Chesapeake, gaining experience in a collaborative, patient-focused environment that serves adults and children. The facility provides comprehensive lab services, including hematology, urinalysis, ISTAT, rapid/kit testing, and phlebotomy. You must have at least two years of experience with phlebotomy, including pediatric experience, and hold ASCP certification. Experience in urgent care or outpatient settings is recommended. Required Qualifications
Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist, Laboratory Experience: 2 years Certifications: MEDTECH-American Society of Clinical Pathology OR Medical Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Experience: 2 years Certifications: MEDLABTECH-American Society of Clinical Pathology Weekends: every other weekend (Friday and Saturday) Scrub Colors: kid friendly References: 1 Reference in entire work history REQUIREMENTS: Two years of experience with phlebotomy with experience in pediatrics
CERTIFICATION: ASCP certification (we do not accept AMT certification)
BENCH COVERING: Hematology, urinalysis, ISTAT, rapid/kit testing and phlebotomy
COVERAGE: will cover two locations
We are looking for someone to work 3 days a week from 930am to close, which can be anywhere from 8-10pm, but normally the clinics are done around 930-945pm. The 3 days a week would include every other weekend (Friday and Saturday). Total guaranteed hours per week would be 36 hours. We are looking to fill this position asap.
