Be Additive Tech’s Talentive platform provides startups access to senior AI technical contractors from global markets - vetted, deeply skilled, and available within 2–3 weeks, at less than half the cost of equivalent local employees. Contractors are remote and fully integrated into our clients’ engineering teams, with flexible contract tenures ranging from three months to two plus years.

The Role
We're hiring an experienced Fractional Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate qualified pipeline for Talentive within the AI startup ecosystem across the Bay Area and Silicon Valley.
We are looking for someone with experience selling SaaS or technology-enabled solutions to startups, who understands how founders evaluate business decisions and can execute a disciplined outbound prospecting strategy independently. You'll work part-time alongside your other engagements, directly with our Founder and CEO, and you'll have clear guidance on our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), messaging, and positioning from day one.

What You'll Do
· Build and manage targeted prospect lists of funded AI startups (Seed–Series C) that are actively hiring or expanding engineering teams using Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Crunchbase
· Attend Bay Area AI, startup, and venture capital events to build relationships, expand your network, and generate qualified opportunities
· Execute personalized outbound prospecting across email, LinkedIn, and phone using account-based outreach strategies
· Identify buying signals, including recent funding rounds, active AI/ML hiring, organizational growth, and engineering workforce expansion
· Qualify prospects against our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and schedule discovery meetings and product demonstrations with founders, CTOs, and VP-level engineering leaders
· Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages, and activity notes to ensure pipeline visibility and reporting accuracy
· Collaborate with the CEO to refine messaging, improve outreach effectiveness, and share market feedback gathered through prospect conversations
What We Look For
· 3+ years of B2B sales development, business development, or inside sales experience, including at least 2 years selling SaaS or technology-enabled solutions
· Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales development targets, with a clear understanding of conversion metrics and pipeline performance
· Experience engaging startup founders, CTOs, and VP-level engineering leaders. You can communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
· Prior fractional, consulting, or multi-client sales experience is a strong plus. You are self-directed, organized, and able to manage competing priorities independently.
· Familiarity with AI, developer tools, HR technology, or talent solutions is highly desirable
· Strong written communication skills with the ability to create personalized, professional outreach
· Experience using modern sales tools including Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems, and Loom
Engagement Details
Type : Part-time contract. This is a fractional engagement, not a full-time hire
Duration : Initial 3-month engagement, renewable based on performance
Location : Remote, San Francisco Bay Area / Silicon Valley. Bay Area candidates with existing ecosystem relationships are a strong plus
