POSITION OVERVIEW

PMG is seeking a Senior Social Content + Marketing Strategist to lead social media strategy and execution for some of our largest client accounts, including enterprise, healthcare, and national consumer brands.

This role requires an experienced social media strategist (5+ years) who can own multi-brand, multi-platform portfolios end to end. You’ll build content calendars, capture photo and video on-site, write social-first copy, manage communities, run partner and influencer collaborations, and turn monthly analytics into clear recommendations clients act on.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and creative: someone who treats client accounts like their own brands, stays organized under high volume, brings ideas before clients ask, and can shoot the video, write the hook, and explain why it worked in the monthly report.

This role operates as a trusted social partner to PMG clients and an extension of their marketing teams, while also supporting PMG’s social team through shared processes, platform expertise, and coverage.

Candidates with agency experience managing high-volume social accounts for enterprise, healthcare, automotive/RV, travel, or membership organizations are especially encouraged to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, or digital marketing within an agency or brand environment
• Proven success leading social for large or multi-brand accounts, with results to show for it (audience growth, engagement, conversions)
• Strong copywriting and storytelling skills across platforms, with a talent for hooks and clear calls to action
• Photo and short-form video skills (iPhone or DSLR), including editing in CapCut, Adobe, or similar
• Hands-on experience with a social media management platform (Sprout Social preferred) and native platform analytics
• Ability to translate analytics into strategic insights and recommendations clients act on
• Confidence leading client meetings and presenting performance results and content recommendations
• Experience managing community engagement and influencer, creator, and brand partner collaborations
• Ability to manage multiple clients, brands, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance ideation, copywriting, editing, and reporting efficiency
• Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented, with strong attention to detail
• Paid social, SEO, or social reputation management experience, or enterprise, healthcare, automotive/RV, travel, or membership client experience a plus

ROLES + RESPONSIBILITIES

SOCIAL STRATEGY + PORTFOLIO LEADERSHIP

• Develop and execute platform-specific social strategies aligned with client brand and business goals
• Own day-to-day social execution for multiple large client accounts, including multi-brand portfolios across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
• Build and manage content calendars, batching content ahead to keep accounts consistent and on time
• Lead daily community management, including comments, messages, and response guides
• Coordinate brand, partner, dealer, and influencer collaborations from concept through approval and publishing

CONTENT CREATION + PRODUCTION

• Write social-first copy with strong hooks and clear calls to action
• Capture, edit, and publish photo and short-form video, including on-site shoots and live event coverage
• Plan and lead on-site content capture days with clients
• Spot trends early and adapt them to each brand’s voice

ANALYTICS, REPORTING + INSIGHTS

• Produce monthly performance reports that explain what’s working, what’s not, and what to do next
• Benchmark engagement and audience growth against industry averages and prior periods
• Translate performance data into strategic recommendations and content shifts

ACCOUNT OWNERSHIP + CLIENT LEADERSHIP

• Own assigned client social accounts from strategy through execution and reporting
• Serve as the day-to-day social lead and trusted advisor on trends, platform changes, and AI in content creation
• Lead client meetings and present insights and recommendations with confidence and executive presence
• Drive momentum by proactively identifying priorities, opportunities, and risks
• Identify opportunities to grow client relationships and support new business proposals

TEAM LEADERSHIP + COLLABORATION

• Serve as an expert resource on PMG’s social media management platform (Sprout Social), supporting teammates and refining workflows
• Contribute to social media best practices, process documentation, and coverage plans across the team
• Mentor and support other content strategists on shared accounts
• Collaborate with PR, brand, design, digital, and paid media teams to keep social cohesive with broader client goals
• Support PMG’s own social presence and marketing initiatives in partnership with PMG’s marketing lead

• Social media management platforms (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Loomly, or similar)
• Native platform analytics (Meta Business Suite, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google Analytics)
• Design and video editing tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut)

• Project management tools (e.g., Monday.com)
• AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for ideation, copywriting, editing, and reporting
