Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Portsmouth, NH Pay: $2,057 per week Shift Information: Days – 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 6/22/2026 About the Position The role is located at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, 3rd Surgical floor (approximately 27 beds) in Portsmouth, NH. Day shift and night shift responsibilities include patient care for Med/Surg patients, working with RNs, LNAs, and unit coordinator. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for Med/Surg patients on a 5-6:1 patient-to-RN ratio. Perform and assist with major orthopedic procedures (knee, hip, shoulder, cervical) and bariatric surgeries. Maintain accurate patient records using EMR code cart and other equipment (Hoyer, CPM). Participate in shift coverage: day and night shift charges (charge RN, RNs, LNAs, unit coordinator Monday-Friday). Assist with weekend coverage – 4 weekend shifts scheduled per 4-week cycle. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing (RN) with at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting. Current BLS certification. Experience with orthopedic and bariatric procedures preferred. Strong teamwork, patient-focused attitude.
