The Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands is looking for a self-motivated and adaptable Financial Analyst I to join our team. Key Responsibilities Process, manage accounts payable. Maintain files and databases. Responsible for month and year end processing and closing. Provide backup coverage to payroll. Qualifications Ability to ensure compliance with contract terms, policies and procedures, etc. Ability to use logic to analyze and identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions. Skill and ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Critical thinking skills. Knowledge of principles, theories and practices of accounting. Knowledge of federal grant management and reporting. Ability to prepare financial reports and documentation. Ability to provide consultation and/or expert advice. Skill and ability to plan, organize and prioritize time and workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines. Have the ability to collaborate and work closely with various business, IT and management teams. Detail oriented and meticulous in their work. At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or another related subject or least 5 years of experience in a related field. Supplemental Information Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
