Overview We are partnering with a high‑growth AI firm focused on transforming front‑office investment processes across hedge funds and asset managers. The firm is developing advanced AI‑driven solutions targeting portfolio management, trading, and research workflows. The Chief Commercial Officer will define and execute the firm’s global go‑to‑market strategy, build strategic client relationships, and drive revenue growth across institutional asset managers and hedge funds. This is a commercially driven role. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating, closing, and expanding enterprise client relationships while building out the firm’s broader commercial ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth Define and execute global go‑to‑market strategy for AI‑driven front‑office solutions Build and scale pipeline across hedge funds and asset managers Own revenue targets, sales forecasting, and commercial performance Develop pricing models, deal structures, and partnership strategies Establish repeatable sales processes for enterprise SaaS and consultative AI solutions Client Engagement & Business Development Lead senior‑level client engagement with CIOs, PMs, Heads of Trading, and Heads of Research Originate, manage, and close complex enterprise sales cycles Translate AI capabilities into front‑office use cases tied to alpha generation and efficiency Build long‑term strategic relationships with key institutional clients Product & Market Alignment Partner closely with Product and Engineering to align commercial strategy with product roadmap Provide market feedback on client needs, competitive positioning, and feature prioritization Help shape product positioning across portfolio management, trading, and research workflows Strategic Partnerships Develop and manage partnerships across the investment management vendor ecosystem Identify integration opportunities with OMS, EMS, PMS, and data platforms Build alliances that accelerate distribution and product adoption Leadership & Team Building Build and lead the commercial organization, including sales, marketing, and customer success Establish scalable go‑to‑market infrastructure and processes Contribute as a core member of the executive leadership team Performance Expectations Generate $2M to $3M in revenue in Year 1 Source, close, and manage 2 to 3 strategic client relationships in Year 1 Typical deal size in the low seven‑figure annual contract value range Average sales cycle approximately 6 months Required Experience Commercial Leadership Proven track record of closing enterprise SaaS or technology deals with seven‑figure ACV Demonstrated ability to independently originate and close new business Experience operating in a build environment, ideally within an early‑stage or high‑growth company Front Office Investment Expertise Deep understanding of front‑office workflows, including portfolio management, trading, and research Experience engaging directly with portfolio managers, traders, and research teams Familiarity with OMS, EMS, PMS, or quantitative platforms Industry Network Strong existing relationships across hedge funds and/or large asset managers Established connectivity within sell‑side institutions, particularly bulge‑bracket research organizations Exposure to the AI or fintech ecosystem is a plus Technology Orientation Experience commercializing advanced technology solutions, ideally within financial technology Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value Leadership Profile Prior experience in a senior commercial leadership role (CCO, Head of Sales, or equivalent) Experience managing and scaling teams across sales, marketing, or client success Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders Preferred Background Experience within fixed income, macro, or multi‑asset strategies Background in investment technology, fintech, or SaaS platforms serving institutional clients Track record of building strategic partnerships across the investment management ecosystem Exposure to AI‑driven solutions within asset management or adjacent industries Target Clients Hedge Funds Institutional Asset Managers Multi‑Asset Investment Firms Location Preferred: New York Open to: San Francisco or Chicago Travel: Significant client‑facing travel required Culture & Environment Entrepreneurial, fast‑paced, and growth‑oriented Collaborative environment with technologists, researchers, and domain experts Compensation Competitive base salary plus performance‑based incentives and equity participation #J-18808-Ljbffr Beta Search
