Job Description

Position Summary

The Class A CDL Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company-owned vehicles, including multi-axle tractors and trailers, in accordance with DOT, ICC, and company safety standards. The driver ensures the security of cargo, performs pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintains accurate records to support efficient and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operate assigned Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently per federal, state and local requirements
Perform pre-trip inspections (fuel, oil, tires, lights, brakes) and post-trip checks
Follow delivery schedules, maintain professional customer service, and obtain delivery confirmations
Complete and return all required documentation (bills of lading, delivery slips, invoices) to the shipping office
Communicate with dispatch for route updates, delays, or special instructions
Proficient with tablets/laptops for logbook and routing systems

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Background: Clean driving record, acceptable MVR, and pass background/drug screening
Experience: 2+ years tractor-trailer driving preferred
Dependable, teachable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and committed to personal excellence
