We have a mission that matters!Description of WorkSalary Grade Range: $33,902 - $59,32760089759 Is An Anticipated Vacancy.This Employment Specialist position is located at the Eastern Carolina Regional Employment Office (ECREO) in Greenville, NC (Pitt County). This position's primary responsibility is to provide recruitment and pre-employment screening for prospective applicants for certified positions in Prisons and Community Supervision work locations within the assigned service area.Job duties for this position include:Performing background reviews and screening of Correctional Officer applicants in accordance with qualification guidelines and Criminal Justice Standards requirementsEnsuring that applicant information is entered correctly into the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) databaseWorking directly with Correctional Officer applicants to ensure that applicant rosters contain a sufficient number of qualified candidates to contact for interviewsGenerating reports in the HR-Payroll System to verify prior service with State GovernmentMaintaining files and databases for tracking and compiling various reports for compliance of policy and general useUsing internal databases: ATS, EMS, the OSC Integrated HR-Payroll System (formerly BEACON), DCIN, Workday, Indicum, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and other applications and software to perform job dutiesMaintaining certification as a certified DCI operator; attending and successfully completing DCI certification and recertification as necessary to meet certification requirementsThis is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. This position's typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm., and work for this position will require overnight travel and overtime work on an as-needed basis.The Posting Will Close At 11:59 P.M.
