We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. If you are passionate about working with diesel engines and have strong technical skills, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and related vehicle systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and perform repairs.
- Test and inspect vehicles following repairs to ensure they meet manufacturer and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with the team and customers regarding repair needs and timelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred).
- Certification as a Diesel Mechanic or in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
- Ability to work with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
