Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to clients in their own homes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children requiring personalized care, including those with complex needs. The ideal candidate will possess relevant healthcare experience and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient well-being. This position is paid and ideal for individuals seeking flexible, impactful work in a supportive environment.
Schedule
During the school year: evenings and/or weekends
Summertime/breaks from school: daytime hours available!
Hours vary from 5 hours per week to full time, depending how many clients you would be looking to care for!
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans
- Monitor and report on clients’ health status, noting any changes or concerns
- Support nutritional needs by preparing meals and assisting with feeding as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to safety protocols
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery
- Document care activities accurately in accordance with agency policies
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
Requirements
- Prior experience in healthcare settings
- Ability to work independently within the home environment while maintaining professional standards
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for client visits
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and communicate effectively with clients and healthcare teams
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet any applicable licensing or certification requirements
