Part-Time Sports Medicine Physician — Little Rock, Arkansas\n

Schedule: 2–3 days per week

A growing healthcare team in Little Rock, Arkansas , is seeking a patient-focused Sports Medicine Physician (MD/DO) with experience in joint injections and musculoskeletal procedures.

\n

This part-time opportunity combines hands-on procedural care with the evaluation and treatment of sports injuries, joint pain, and acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Work alongside specialists in orthopedics, radiology, physical therapy, and primary care to help patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and return to an active lifestyle.

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Evaluate and diagnose sports injuries, joint conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders.
\n
• Review patient histories, perform physical examinations, and interpret relevant imaging and radiology reports.
\n
• Perform joint injections and minimally invasive musculoskeletal procedures, including ultrasound-guided injections when indicated.
\n
• Administer clinically appropriate injectable therapies, including corticosteroids and hyaluronic acid.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on pain relief, mobility, function, and recovery.
\n
• Educate patients on treatment options, rehabilitation, injury prevention, and expected outcomes.
\n
• Monitor treatment response, provide follow-up care, and coordinate referrals.
\n
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical and procedural documentation in the EHR.
\n

Required Qualifications\n

\n
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
\n
• Active Arkansas medical license, or eligibility to obtain one.
\n
• Board certification or board eligibility in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, or a closely related specialty.
\n
• Post-residency experience performing joint injections and musculoskeletal procedures.
\n
• Experience treating sports injuries, joint conditions, and acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
\n
• Familiarity with ultrasound-guided injections and relevant diagnostic imaging.
\n
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach.
\n
• Experience with Epic or a comparable EHR system.
\n

Preferred Qualifications\n

\n
• Fellowship training in Sports Medicine or a related musculoskeletal specialty.
\n
• Advanced experience with ultrasound-guided procedures.
\n
• Experience treating athletes and active patients.
\n
• Experience collaborating with physical therapy and rehabilitation teams.
\n
• Experience with evidence-based regenerative or other minimally invasive musculoskeletal treatments, where clinically appropriate.
\n
