About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic nursing. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures. Ability to cover one night shift as needed. Willingness to float between units. Ability to work weekends and holidays as required. Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will deliver patient care in the operating room setting. Candidates must have experience in trauma, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and orthopedic procedures. They may be required to cover night shifts within their contract as needed. Call responsibilities will be shared amongst nursing staff every six weeks, with an average of 6-8 shifts in this period. The RN will work alongside a surgical team consisting of other RNs and surgical technologists. Daily caseload typically includes approximately 25 cases. The staffing model may require the RN to float within the facility as necessary. The RN will support various patient demographics including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Additional responsibilities include ensuring adherence to infection control policies and protocols. Special procedures may involve robotic-assisted surgeries and vascular procedures. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is imperative to provide holistic patient care.
