Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support core accounting functions and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting for our client in D.C. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Key Responsibilities Execute month-end close procedures including accruals, payroll, depreciation, and other standard adjustments. Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation to resolve discrepancies. Oversee accounts payable and payment processing performed by junior staff. Analyze and interpret financial data to support internal stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and coordinate with external auditors. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
