Job Description Job Description We are seeking a part-time Optometrist (OD) to join our practice and support continued growth. This role is ideal for a clinician who values patient-centered care, enjoys autonomy in clinical decision-making, and prefers a private practice setting over high-volume corporate environments. Hourly compensation ranges from $70 - $100. What You'll Do * Perform comprehensive eye exams for adults and children * Diagnose and manage ocular disease (dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, etc.) * Prescribe glasses and contact lenses * Provide patient education and build strong doctor-patient relationships * Collaborate with a friendly, experienced support staff * Maintain accurate and timely medical records using our EHR What We Offer * Flexible part-time schedule (weekday-focused; Saturdays if preferred, no late nights) * 8 to 14 patients a day with adequate exam time * Supportive team and well-run office systems * Modern equipment and established optical * Opportunity to practice full-scope optometry without sales pressure * Competitive compensation based on experience Ideal Candidate * OD degree from an accredited optometry program * Active Maryland optometry license (or ability to obtain) * Strong clinical skills with a patient-first mindset * Comfortable managing both routine and medical eye care * Team-oriented, dependable, and personable * New grads and experienced ODs encouraged to apply
