Compensation USD 70,000 - USD 90,000 yearly Company Description KIPP St. Louis is a part of a national network of free, open-enrollment, public charter schools offering a choice to families and children in St. Louis city. Position Overview The Manager of Operations is the school’s execution owner for core operational systems that enable high-quality teaching and learning. This role ensures reliable front office operations, accurate student information systems, strong attendance and enrollment processes, and well-coordinated day-to-day logistics that support students, families, and staff. Reporting to the School Leader (Principal), the Manager of Operations partners with school leadership and regional operations to implement established systems with fidelity, maintain high standards of accuracy and customer service, and resolve operational breakdowns in real time. Work Structure Direct Manager: Principal Direct Reports: None Lateral Leadership: Advises grade-level teams, department chairs, teachers for implementation of schoolwide initiatives Lateral Managers: Collaborates with peer Assistant School Leader and School Leader to ensure coherence across academic, culture, and operational priorities Autonomy & Decision Making The Manager of Operations owns school-level execution of operational systems and data integrity within regional guardrails. Does not own vendor contracts, regional compliance policy, or transportation vendor management; concerns escalated to school leadership or regional operations partners. Responsibilities Own daily execution of front office operations and Student Information System (SIS) accuracy, ensuring compliance with school, regional, state, and federal requirements. Lead attendance execution (tardies, early dismissals, daily attendance processes) and coordinate timely family follow‑up. Execute enrollment, re‑enrollment, and withdrawal processes with accurate documentation and data tracking. Maintain organized, audit‑ready student files and compliance documentation. Support assessment logistics and data entry in coordination with school leadership. Execute daily arrival and dismissal systems; maintain accurate transportation rosters and issue logs; communicate day‑to‑day transportation updates to families and staff. Serve as primary point of contact for families, delivering clear communication and responsive customer service. Ensure front office readiness and professional, welcoming school entry experience. Execute purchasing and inventory processes in alignment with regional procedures. Coordinate with vendors (food service, custodial, technology) for daily operations and elevate issues appropriately. Maintain organized shared spaces and operational readiness to protect instructional time. Partner with school leadership to ensure operations align to academic and culture priorities. Support schoolwide events and assessments through logistics and documentation. Uphold school norms and contribute to a positive, respectful school environment. Qualifications Required Demonstrated experience managing school-based operational systems (attendance, SIS, enrollment, front office workflows) Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset Experience using Student Information Systems and office technology Preferred Prior operations leadership in a school setting Experience in network school environments Project management training or certification Benefits Salary: USD 70,000 - USD 90,000 yearly, performance bonus eligible.
