Job Opportunity – Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Urgent Care – Virginia
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (60-90 days)
Location: Richmond, Virginia (multiple locations across the Richmond area)
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12+ hours per shift depending on patient flow; Clinics operate 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM; Expected to see all patients who arrive during scheduled hours; Weekend coverage included
Highlights:

- 100% outpatient urgent care setting with episodic, acute care patient volume
- Diverse patient population from birth through geriatrics with varied case presentations
- Average patient volume ranges from 25 to 50 per day depending on clinic and season
- Epic EMR system in use across all locations
- No call coverage required
- Perform a wide range of urgent care procedures including laceration repair, I&D, splinting, casting, joint reduction, x-ray interpretation, and point-of-care diagnostics
Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Virginia
- Board Certification required
- Active DEA and BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an Emergency Department, Primary Care, or Urgent Care setting
- Proficiency in urgent care procedures: suturing, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting/casting, joint reduction, x-ray and EKG interpretation, and point-of-care lab testing
- Clean background with no malpractice or licensure issues
- Local candidates preferred; travel expenses not provided
