- Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. One to two years of experience in a medical office is preferred; formal medical assistant training and certification are a plus. Candidates should have experience performing patient triage, taking vital signs, assisting with physician examinations and in-office procedures, administering medications, providing patient education, coordinating diagnostic testing and pre-authorizations, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting day-to-day back-office operations. Knowledge of HMO insurance plans is required. Familiarity with Athena EMR, CPT coding, and ICD-10 coding is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, computer, and typing skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
