Equipment Engineer

Top Leading Medical Device Company Equipment Engineer Location: Blue Ash, OH I'm supporting a large MedTech organization that's expanding its Equipment/Automation Engineering team due to multiple early‑phase development programs ramping up. Equipment Engineers may support programs focused on: Concept-stage product & process development Automated assembly line development with external equipment vendors Requirements largely defined Equipment build → power‑on targeted in 2026 Debug, characterization & qualification into 2027 Prototype & pilot lines built from scratch or adapted platforms Volume: hundreds of thousands up to ~500K units/year What they're looking for 5-10+ years Equipment Development / Automation Engineering experience Strong hands‑on technical contributor (not PM-focused) Experience taking equipment concept → development → qualification Able to work closely with and challenge equipment vendors Comfort reviewing/defining: Mechanical, electrical, and controls/software systems Throughput and performance requirements Nice to have Medical device background Equipment validation, FAT experience Controls/automation experience SolidWorks (plus, not required) Ideal profile Leads automated equipment development end‑to‑end Can "stand toe‑to‑toe" with equipment suppliers Owns details across mechanical, electrical, software, and performance domains EOE Statement: Specialist Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
