Registered Nurse - Clinic Nurse Cancer Center Medical Oncology Unit
Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Cookeville TN, Full Time Days Monday-Friday 8a-5p, Req # 7165
Salary Range: $30.00 - $38.08 / Hourly
The Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process within an assigned unit, assesses, treats, and cares for patients demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturation process, coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Oversees the work of other professional and non-professional personnel.
Education: Registered Nurse Diploma required.
Licensure: RN state license required.
Experience: 1 to 3 years preferred.
Cancer Center Oncology certification preferred (RN Only)
Two years experience in acute care nursing with minimum one year experience in oncology preferred.
Knowledge of oncology treatments and side effect management preferred.
BLS within 3 months of hire.
Daily use of a non-waived analytical instrument (CBC Analyzer). Testing personnel must meet the regulatory requirements for assessment of competency within 3 years of hire.
Medical Oncology RN only - ONS/ONCC Immunotherapy/Chemotherapy Certification Course required within 1 year of hire.
Medical Oncology LPN ONLY works under supervision of ONS/ONCC Immunotherapy/Chemotherapy certified RN.
