Through hands-on training, mentorship, and a culture of internal promotion, we empower you to reach your full potential and contribute to projects that truly matter.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Test Engineering Manager located in Fontana, CA.Reporting to the Director, Design & Engineering the Test Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the team responsible for testing substation control house projects while meeting budgetary and schedule requirements. Additionally, the Testing Supervisor will monitor the work performed by the test technicians, and work with them to identify and troubleshoot critical issues.What a typical day looks like:Maintains testing schedule per Crown project schedule and production schedule with guidance from the Electrical Engineering Manager.Monitors testing status daily; gathers feedback from all test technicians.Reviews project specifications and implement testing procedures to comply with project requirements.Reviews test plans of all projects against schematics with test technicians before testing commences.Reviews test reports and testing schematics for completion and adherence to Crown's testing procedures/work instructions.Maintains physical copies of all completed test reports and testing schematics and makes sure the same are uploaded to the project folder in a timely manner.Reviews and maintains testing equipment list with Test Technicians.Creates and maintains test procedures, including testing forms.Leads problem-solving initiatives to analyze quality failures and help drive quality improvements (ex. ways to improve the efficiency of testing to reduce the time required).Ensures all team members follow testing standards and safety procedures; promptly report and investigate all quality failure incidents.Ensures work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.Perform power testing of protective relay panels, medium voltage switchgear line-ups, test communication, and HMI components on the relay panel.
