Key Responsibilities

UPS Store Associates are responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service. These include:

• Customer Service: Greet customers, assess their needs, provide guidance on shipping, printing, and other services, and resolve issues professionally CLIMB+1.
• Shipping and Mail Handling: Receive, process, and prepare packages for shipment, including weighing, labeling, and using shipment software. Handle damaged, late, or lost package claims WayUp.
• Printing and Office Services: Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, and other office machines. Prepare documents for printing and provide professional printing solutions WayUp.
• Retail Sales: Promote and upsell store products and services, maintain store displays, and manage sales transactions using POS systems Indeed+1.
• Inventory and Store Maintenance: Stock shelves, monitor inventory levels, maintain a clean and organized store, and perform end-of-day reconciliation of cash, checks, and credit card transactions WayUp.
• Team Support: Assist in training new employees, collaborate with team members, and ensure productivity and service quality The UPS Store.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent CLIMB.
• Experience: At least one year of customer service or retail experience is preferred Indeed+1.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), internet applications, and POS systems. Knowledge of QuickBooks or digital printing is a plus The UPS Store+1.
• Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, outgoing, and able to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills are essential CLIMB+1.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds.
