Investment Banking Associate, Industrials (Chicago)

I’m currently working with a growing middle‑market investment bank that is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its Chicago team.

The firm focuses on Industrials M&A , advising companies across a variety of industrial subsectors. The team works on a range of middle‑market transactions, providing strategic advisory services across buy‑side and sell‑side M&A engagements.

This opportunity offers an Associate the chance to take on meaningful responsibility within a lean, entrepreneurial environment, including:

• Supporting live M&A transactions from execution through closing
• Building valuation analyses and financial models
• Preparing client‑facing materials and transaction presentations
• Conducting industry and company‑specific research
• Working closely with senior bankers and gaining direct exposure to clients

Ideal background

• 2+ years of investment banking experience at a reputable advisory firm or bank
• Strong M&A execution, valuation, and financial modeling skills
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities
• Industrials coverage experience is a plus
