Ecumen Hospice - St Cloud Saint Cloud, MN 56304, USA Description The Spiritual Counselor position is responsible for providing spiritual care, guidance, and emotional support to patients, families, and team members. This position is responsible for assessing spiritual needs, offering pastoral counseling, and supporting individuals through illness, transition, grief, and loss. This position is also responsible for collaborating with care teams, families, and community faith resources to promote holistic, person-centered care that honors each individual's beliefs, values, and spiritual journey. Opportunity Details Schedule: Part-Time 16 hrs bi-weekly - every Friday from 8am-4:30pm This position would support the St. Cloud area. Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $28.00 - $33.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

1. Provides an initial visit with new patients/families to assess spiritual care needs and introduces spiritual care services within five days of admission. Effectively manages assigned case load.
2. Facilitates the development of the individualized plan of care as directed by Medicare rules and regulations. Participates in the comprehensive assessment to meet identified spiritual needs of patients and families/caregivers.
3. Provides spiritual assessments and pastoral care in accordance with the beliefs of patient, including administration of the sacraments as requested.
4. Maintains records of spiritual care services and documents care provided and ongoing communication with patients and families.
5. Conducts and coordinates end-of-life rituals and funeral/memorial services, including dignity walks and bedside services.
6. Develops and maintains relationships with community clergy. Serves as liaison to the patient’s community of faith.
7. Provides compassion and sensitivity to the needs of others no matter race, religion or sexual orientation.

Driving Requirements Local Travel Required Spiritual Counselor HSP Minimum Required Qualifications Demonstrates theological understanding and respect of all faith expressions, beliefs, and values License, Ordination and/or Ecclesiastical Endorsement by a recognized religious organization 2 years pastoral care or chaplain ministry experience Minimum of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education or the ability to complete within two years of hire Commitment to personal self-care and spiritual development Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations including being able to work irregular hours, attend meetings and special events Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to communicate both effectively in both verbal and written formats Able to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (M. Div. or equivalent theological degree).
