This executive will be responsible for end-to-end operational leadership, ensuring best-in-class service, efficiency, and scalability across all retail distribution centers.This role will drive strategic transformation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, while building a high-performance culture that supports Ashley's growth and customer experience goals.Key Responsibilities:Enterprise Operations Leadership:Lead all aspects of retail distribution center operations across multiple locations, including receiving, warehousing, order fulfillment, and last-mile readinessOwn operational performance across key metrics including throughput, service levels, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiencyDevelop and execute a long-term distribution strategy aligned to company growth and retail expansionMulti-Site & P&L Accountability:Oversee a large, geographically dispersed network of distribution centers and leadership teamsMaintain full accountability for operational budgets, cost management, and productivity improvementsEnsure alignment across regions with standardized processes and performance expectationsOperational Excellence & Continuous Improvement:Champion lean methodologies, automation, and process standardization to improve service, reduce cost, and increase throughputDrive large-scale initiatives in warehouse automation, systems integration, and digital transformationEstablish and monitor KPIs to ensure performance is data-driven and continuously improvingCross-Functional Partnership:Collaborate with Supply Chain, Transportation, Retail Operations, Manufacturing, and IT to ensure seamless product flow from production to customer deliveryPartner with Finance to align on cost targets, capital investment, and ROI for operational initiativesServe as a key executive partner to retail leadership in delivering a best-in-class customer experienceLeadership & Talent Development:Build, lead, and develop a high-performing leadership team, including Directors, Regional Leaders, and Site General ManagersFoster a culture of accountability, safety, engagement, and continuous developmentDrive organizational capability through succession planning, leadership development, and talent strategyQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)15+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including senior leadership in distribution, logistics, or supply chain environmentsProven experience leading large-scale, multi-site operations with significant workforce size and complexityDemonstrated success with P&L ownership, cost optimization, and operational transformation initiativesStrong expertise in warehouse operations, inventory management systems, and automation technologiesProven ability to lead through change, growth, and large-scale process improvementsLeadership Profile:Strategic + Tactical Operator: Comfortable setting vision while executing at scaleData-Driven Decision Maker: Uses KPIs and analytics to drive performance and accountabilityPeople-First Leader: Builds strong teams, develops talent, and drives engagementChange Agent: Thrives in transformation environments and drives innovationCollaborative Executive: Partners effectively across functions and levelsPay Scale: $197,557 - $296,336/annuallyWork Environment:This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
