Travel ICU Nursing Job Details Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment Start Date: November 16, 2026 Assignment End Date: February 15, 2027 Location: Columbus, Ohio Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940–$2,040 Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week Shift Duration: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. Weekly Hours: 36 hours Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend Call: Not required Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:2 Orientation: 36 hours Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients Travel ICU Registered Nurse Requirements At least 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a valid compact nursing license in hand Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Recent experience with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) Demonstrated proficiency with telemetry, ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia management, arterial blood gas interpretation, infection prevention, isolation precautions, and IV therapy Ability to float to units with equivalent or lower acuity when needed Two professional references, including at least one reference from a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leader Previous travel nursing experience preferred Charge nurse experience and conscious sedation experience preferred ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in an intensive care setting Care for patients with respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, DKA, cardiac arrest, substance withdrawal, gastrointestinal bleeding, and pulmonary embolism Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, neurological status, and response to treatment Manage ventilated patients and administer continuous IV sedation in accordance with clinical protocols Interpret arterial blood gases and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention Support post-arrest hypothermia and temperature-management procedures Initiate and maintain IV access while delivering medications and therapies safely Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary support services to coordinate individualized patient care Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate changes in patient condition promptly Follow infection prevention, isolation, and safety standards throughout the assignment Apply now to join this Columbus, Ohio travel nursing team as a Travel ICU Registered Nurse on the night shift.
