Diesel Mechanic

Role: Perform safe operation, repair, rebuild, and maintenance of heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure optimal safety and performance. Responsibilities Conduct daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on diesel refuse trucks. Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, brake, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components. Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to maintain safe and reliable fleet operations. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicle readiness for daily use. Qualifications & Skills Experience and certifications in diesel truck repair preferred; ASE testing is supported and rewarded. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, brake, suspension, and PTO systems. Ability to troubleshoot mechanically and perform preventative maintenance. Strong safety practices and attention to detail. Additional Information Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, with increased pay based on experience and certifications. Benefits include PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, overtime, 401K, and health benefits. Shift is from 11am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours.
