Travel RN - Cath Lab/EPAmerican TravelerDecatur, Illinois, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-02T00:00:00.000Z$3,147.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN for a Level II Trauma center requiring a minimum of 2 years RN experience and 1 year cardiac cath lab experience along with an active IL license.DetailsCath Lab unit within an acute care, Level II Trauma hospitalDiagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, Hybrid OR, and Pre/Post Procedure settingsPatient ratios of 1:2 on days and 1:1 for nights and weekends4x10 day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-5:30 PMWorks every third weekendOn-call required one night per week and every third weekendFloating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as neededCerner EMR experience requiredRequirementsActive IL RN license required and in hand at time of applicationBLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredMinimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience requiredFirst-time travelers considered only with significant cath lab experienceCharge RN experience preferredTeaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferredExperience required in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, IABP, Impella, left/right heart catheterization, and valvuloplastyExperience required in EP procedures including arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, and LAA closureExperience required in vascular studies/procedures including angioplasty, carotid stenting, and stent graft placementExperience administering and monitoring antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, vasopressors, sedation, and thrombolyticsSkilled in IV therapy including central line assistance and IV startsProficient in 12-lead EKG, ACT monitoring, cardioversion, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation monitoringExperience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and topical hemostasis agentsCerner charting experience requiredAdditional InformationScrubs provided for this roleFree parking available in any unrestricted spaceCandidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidaysUp to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be approvedPrevious permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a travelerLocal candidates accepted with no radius restrictionTravel pairs are not accepted by the facilityHousing in the area may be limited, so early housing search is recommended
