Coop/Condo Law Firm Partner (New York)

Our client , a 100-attorney New York City law firm is conducting a confidential search for a Partner to lead and further develop its cooperative and condominium practice. The firm’s ideal candidate will have strong industry relationships, sound judgment, and the ability to grow and sustain a sophisticated advisory practice on a stable, well-resourced platform.

The practice advises cooperatives, condominiums, sponsors, landlords, developers, REITs, and other major stakeholders across New York City on the full spectrum of co-op and condominium matters, including governance, board operations, regulatory compliance, offering plans and amendments, and complex transactional and dispute-driven issues. While not a litigation role, the Partner will work closely with the firm’s litigation team to oversee matters involving building defects, shareholder and unit-owner disputes, sponsor obligations, and enforcement of governing documents.

Partners given the most thoughtful consideration will have 10+ years of substantive co-op and condominium experience and a demonstrated record of business development and client origination of at least $1 million annually. This role is designed for a partner looking to step into a larger platform with increased leadership scope and long-term practice-building opportunity.

In addition to serving as the senior subject-matter resource for the practice, the incoming Partner will contribute to business development, mentor attorneys, and collaborate with firm leadership on continued practice growth. Compensation includes a base salary of $350K to $400K, plus a percentage of originations, bonus, and an excellent benefits package.
