Print & Packaging Manufacturing: Press Assistant Wanted in Woodland!

Are you looking to learn an in-demand industrial manufacturing trade with a stable local packaging leader? American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier consumer packaging and printing manufacturing facility in Woodland, WA to hire a dependable, detail-oriented Press Assistant . Working directly alongside experienced Lead Press Operators, you will assist with machine startup, run continuous quality checks on printed packaging, manage raw materials, and execute end-of-run wash-ups and changeovers. If you bring strong communication, a collaborative team attitude, and a focus on detail and safety, let's get you on the floor!

• Work directly alongside the Lead Press Operator to maintain high-speed, high-quality printing and packaging runs.
• Perform machine startup, staging, daily cleanup, and shutdown procedures following strict operational guidelines.
• Conduct regular visual and dimensional quality control inspections on printed materials to prevent defects and minimize waste.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized equipment bays, solvent areas, and ink stations.
• Keep accurate production logs, waste tracking reports, and changeover documentation.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate actively with operators and shift leads to resolve process hiccups quickly.
• Strictly adhere to plant safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.

• Pay Rate: $17.13 / hour.
• Schedule: Full-Time Monday – Friday (Steady weekday schedules with weekends OFF!).
• Available Shifts:
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Swing Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Graveyard Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Location: Woodland, WA facility.
• Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire career pathway.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or printing environment preferred (eager to train motivated individuals with solid baseline mechanical aptitude).
• Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—including active listening and collaborative problem-solving.
• High attention to visual detail, accuracy, and process consistency.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40–50 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with operators and crew members.
• Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and reliable transportation.
