A day in the life.
Producers responsible for turning prospects into clients by successfully closing business deals. Sales professionals sell Marsh & McLennan's products and services by identifying prospective clients, creating sales strategies, growing client relationships, developing proposals and negotiating sales contracts. A producer makes an impact as a seasoned, professional individual contributor, ready to manage projects, work independently, help teammates thrive and collaborate with stakeholders across the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Executing sales goals by maintaining a large book of business of complex or high-yield accounts by conducting frequent sales presentations, calls and meetings.
- Applying highly developed market and internal service offering insights to prospective Centers of Influence to engage potential clients, generate interest and schedule meetings or presentations.
- Creating sales proposals, presentations and RFP responses which creatively and effectively address complex prospect needs and appropriately communicate the business value of internal services and offerings.
- Leading complex account processes from the identification stage to closing; lead underwriting discussions, facilitating product and expectation discussions and ultimately securing a beneficial financial outcome for the client.
- Managing research efforts and analyses relevant markets and industries to identify potential relationship needs, target new accounts and ultimately target areas of expansion for existing accounts or the book of business at large.
- Interfacing frequently with potential or existing account representatives and stakeholders to ensure service satisfaction and uphold promises and general expectations.
- Maintaining professional account relationships with new or established account representatives to introduce and sell new products to and facilitate deeper market penetration and representation and encourage and explore cross op co sales opportunities.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- Broker License.
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience with new business development required, ideally with private client insurance experience.
- Proven insurance industry experience with private client insurance products.
- Is a member of various professional and industry or regional organizations and attends conferences and relevant events to expand and maintain a large professional network, represent the company and gain exposure and insight as to various specialties.
- Experience working with Epic, agency management system preferred.
- Available to travel for client meetings, as needed.
